With the WE FREE RACE all sporty ambitious racers have the greatest joy! Fast gliding, gliding through wind holes, high top speed, excellent jibing characteristics, easy and stable handling with a sporty feel at the same time, are just a few features that distinguish the board.

The board is designed in the area of the mast rail to the tail with a stretched rocker line, which are the characteristics of a fast and glidy racer. In order to let the board fly smoothly and easily with high end speed even through choppy waters, the underwater hull is provided with a relatively pronounced V, and the tail with cutouts, which were developed through many extensive tests. Three specially arranged longitudinal T-stringers in combination with the use of high quality BIAX Nanocarbon give the board the necessary stiffness, resulting in a very free feel. As soon as the board reaches gliding speed, you get an incredibly free surf feeling, which comes close to "flying" over the water. In short, the WE FREE RACE gives you the feeling of a true race board, but with easy controllability.

Two rows of footstraps allow the positioning of the footstraps further inside for race beginners. The outer footstrap plugs are for all ambitious racers. Footstraps with a pleasantly soft neoprene coating, which are screwed to the board with high-quality stainless steel. All screws with a thick base diameter, immediately bring the feeling of not wanting to leave the strap position.

All plugs and inserts are built in PVC reinforcements. The tuttlebox and deep tuttlebox fin boxes are made of high-quality carbon laminate. Highest fitting accuracy of the fins is guaranteed!

A high-performance sandwich construction with the highest quality PVC sandwich in deck and bottom intelligent use of S-Glass and extensive use of BIAX Nanocarbon, as well as additional carbon reinforcements in nose, deck and bottom provide the board despite low weight a long durability.

Technical Details

Built for top performance! To our knowledge, the only FREERACE production board made entirely from full carbon!

The WE FREERACE is entirely constructed with a 3 mm PVC sandwich structure and full carbon in the deck and bottom. All high-stress areas are further reinforced with BIAX carbon.

A carefully tailored and extensively tested stringer technology in the underwater hull, combined with the extremely high carbon content and the resulting stiffness of the board, gives the WE FREERACE exceptional planing characteristics, a smooth riding feel, high speeds, and extremely precise handling while maintaining excellent comfort. Wind lulls? The WE FREERACE handles them with ease.

Features:
  • Footpads: The 6 mm thick footpads provide balanced cushioning. With a diamond structure and pressed crocodile pattern, they feel extremely comfortable and offer excellent slip resistance.
  • Footstrap Mounts: Two rows of plugs allow for versatile setups. Use the inner row for easier entry and exit from the footstraps, making it ideal for learning racing techniques, or use the outer rows for advanced freeracing and speed with your friends. The footstrap plugs are made of extra-durable plastic, making screw tear-outs nearly impossible.
  • Air Vents: All board sizes are equipped with two original GORE® Goretex vents. Only the original GORE® vents guarantee maximum reliability and optimal function. The automatic pressure equalization between the atmosphere and the interior of the board significantly reduces stress on the board, resulting in a longer lifespan.
  • Fin Box: The WE FREERACE 107 comes with a full carbon Tuttle box. For sizes 120 liters and above, the WE FREERACE features a full carbon Deep Tuttle Foil-ready box. This makes the WE FREERACE 120L and larger compatible with foil setups.
  • Rails: The rails are coated with clear lacquer for increased scratch resistance.
  • Deck Coating: The deck coating of the WE ONE boards was newly developed. It offers very high slip resistance and is extremely durable. Even after extended use with neoprene shoes, the slip resistance of the deck coating remains intact.
  • Hull: The hull is also coated with a specially developed paint with a unique surface structure. This coating reduces the water’s surface tension, allowing the board to plane more quickly and achieve higher speeds compared to traditional coatings.
